“ A real gem in Kitchener and a go-to cafe of mine! The coffee is fantastic, but the food is even better. The breakfast burrito is delicious, and I recently tried a cheese and chive scone that was life-changing. Perfectly crispy on the outside, warm and soft on the inside. Never thought I could get so excited about a scone but here we are. It’s a great place to settle in and get some work done among the techies of Catalyst. ”
“ I’m absolutely in LOVE with their coffee! As do a lot of the people we introduce this product to. We often buy two bags of their coffee beans every two weeks or so along with a cappuccino and americano. For myself, I love a good caramel cappuccino with oat milk and I definitely prefer stockyards over other local cafes around town. Even the space is incredible and so spacious! They’re also on Insta and have a great and informative social media presence. Side note, I also like how creative they are with their tip jars. I’m always looking at their question of the day. The only thing that sucks is it’s not open late, so we’re limited in getting my fix during the work day. I’d love a chance to have an evening coffee date with the hubs on a weekly basis but beggars can’t be choosers. In terms of the coffee, my husband really likes their “Barrel Aged” coffee. I am more of a fan of the “First Light” medium roast. I’m not a connoisseur so I can’t tell you if it’s fruity enough or has the right body vs. acidity or whatever ratio. But it definitely beats Starbucks in my opinion. I will also make a shout out to the stockyards brewery in St. Jacobs. They have a selection coffee beans for sale as well as some merch and a fair amount of variety in their beers. I really liked their lager and found it to be light and fresh. Last thing I will say, hubby bought me some of their merch and the quality is really good! I love my stockyards sweater in particular. Overall, I’m really happy to support this local company and we’re both looking forward to whatever Stockyards has in store for us in future. ”
“ A great down to earth coffee bar at the Catalyst 137 building... The espresso is smooth and energizing, the cookies are light delights, and the sandwiches are filling and fresh. The staff are friendly, attentive, and always wearing a pleasant smile. Comfy seats and armchairs, lots of natural light, surprisingly not much noise, mostly professional clientele with their laptops or holding meetings. ”
“ The Stockyards Cafe in the Catalyst building on Glasgow is truly a gem. The clusters of seating arrangements and the light from the large window panels make it a great place to unwind and meet friends. It's also pet friendly, which is an added bonus. The selection of coffee, pastries and more are a nice touch. The best feature, however, are the hardworking, personable baristas. (A special shout-out to Kyle, a former student.) Thank you for making my visits so enjoyable! ”

“ Love love love this place. Amazing coffees: there’s something for everyone. Really friendly and knowledgeable staff too. They seem to always be experimenting with new flavours. I tried their whiskey nitro cold brew the other day, which was delicious (and pretty cool - definitely recommend for whiskey lovers). ”
